Sizing & Condition Chart
Almost all of our items are vintage, and more often than not, have been worn. Because they have been previously loved, they may not be 100% free of flaws. We describe all defects and blemishes to the best of our knowledge and ability, but we may accidentally miss a slight and trivial imperfection. We clean, repair, and restore items to the best of our ability. Again, vintage items are sold "as is". We have provided a chart (see below) explaining the most common condition descriptions. If you have a clarifying question about a particular item and its condition, please ask!
Sizing & Fit
Vintage sizing and modern sizing can be very different. Because of this, we provide detailed measurements of all vintage clothing and a recommended general size (S, M, L, etc. rather than a specific modern dress size). See our helpful guide to measuring below!
Please remember: The measurements provided in the descriptions are the measurements of the dress/article of clothing. Your measurements should be just a little smaller than those measurements to allow for undergarments and room for movement. Also keep in mind that unlike modern fabrics, most vintage fabrics have little or no stretch.
How do we measure at Giddy? Garments are measured flat, then appropriate measurements doubled. If in doubt, find a similar garment in your own closet that fits you well and compare its measurements to your own. If you have a clarifying question about a particular item and its measurements, please ask!
Please don't hesitate to ask us any questions! We're here to make sure you love the items you purchase, and to make sure they fit you great!
